Some anti-adware and anti-spyware also cross over into being anti-virus or anti-malware software and vice-versa so I had to lump them together under one topic 'Anti-Ware'.

Anti-Adverts: Most web sites (this one too) have ads to help pay for their existence however a lot of them (or their advertisers) take it a little too far. Here are some sites/tools that may help you take back control of your net surfing experience.

Anti-Spyware: Some sites/advertisers take it even further and add hidden software to your system to track what you do so they can target what ads to send you. This site does NOT use or condone any spyware. Some spyware are even considered malware because they do some dubious things on your system.

Anti-Virus: Usually the first thing people think of when it comes to protecting their system, however some ONLY do anti-virus (need other software to protect system from other threats) while others are a complete security suite (no other protection software needed). You will have to do a little research of your own to find the right combination of software to protect your system with. BTW: Try to avoid overlapping features/services as this may cause conflicts within your system.
